The unique artistic style achieved with the Robin Hood playing cards by Kings Wild took heavy inspiration from the Bayeux Tapestry - a French tapestry 70 meters long and 50 cm high from around 1066. If you look closely at each card, you'll find that designer Jackson Robinson drew every stitch by hand to create this incredible display of artistic achievement.
About Robin Hood
Robin Hood is a legendary heroic outlaw originally depicted in English folklore and subsequently featured in literature and film. According to legend, Robin Hood was a noble bandit who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. He lived in Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire in England. This medieval hero has become known worldwide through many stories and film adaptations.
The Robin Hood playing cards have 54 poker size cards including 2 Jokers, the diptych Jokers from the Robin Hood deck show the legendary first encounter of Robin Hood and Little John. These Kings Wild playing cards are printed by The Expert Playing Card Co. in China on card stock. The tuck case was intricately designed to resemble an ancient book, including life-like features to resemble canvas and leather design-work, a book spine, frayed paper edges and finished with realistic wear-n-tear details.
