Croatia, officially republic of Croatia is a country in the south-eastern region of Europe, it has a population of 3.9 million as of 2023. Croatia’s first language is Croatian but Bosnian and Serbian closely follow. Croatia includes the traditional regions of Dalmatia and Istria, located along the Adriatic coast, and Croatia-Slavonia in the northern arm of the country. Zagreb is the capital and largest city of Croatia. Croatia borders: Slovenia and Hungary to the north, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the east, Montenegro to the south, and it also shares a sea border with Italy on the west. Croatia is a member of the European Union, the Eurozone, the Schengen Area, NATO, the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the World Trade Organization, and a founding member of the Union for the Mediterranean. Croatia, which acceded to the EU in 2013, adopted the euro in 2023.

In 1989, Grafika Grafoprint started producing playing cards and board games as the only playing card factory in the Balkans.
