About The Notorious B.I.G.
Christopher George Latore Wallace (1972 – 1997), better known by his stage names the Notorious B.I.G., Biggie Smalls, or simply Biggie, notorious, Frank White, Big Poppa, The "King of New York" was an American rapper of the 1990s, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City. His music was often semi-autobiographical, telling of hardship and criminality, but also of debauchery and celebration. In 1997, The Notorious B.I.G. was murdered in a drive-by shooting while visiting Los Angeles, the murder of The Notorious B.I.G. has not been resolved to date. A 2021 Netflix documentary Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell, executive-produced by Voletta Wallace and Combs, focuses on B.I.G.'s life before he rose to fame as "The King of New York", and features "unprecedented access granted by the Wallace estate.
