Inspired by the Museum of Extinct Animals, these playing cards were produced in collaboration with Moooi - the award-winning, Dutch interior design company. With the Museum of Extinct Animals, Moooi celebrates nature’s diversity! Inspired by stories and drawings they found, they bring these beautiful creatures back to life through designs that tickle your senses and imagination.

Since the dawn of the human era, men and women went on risky adventures in search of new worlds. They would seek a golden treasure or the fountain of youth. They eventually found great treasures for humanity: alluring animals that were never seen before. When they returned, they told stories about exotic worlds where unique animals roamed. The stories about the animals became an endless source of inspiration for talented artist. Driven to recreate these animals, they put pen to paper and made drawings of these now Extinct Animals.

About Moooi
Moooi is a Dutch design company with products like: carpets, furniture, home accessories, interior design, lighting and wallcovering. The company was founded by Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers in the Netherlands in 2001. Dutch industrial designer Marcel Wanders is the leading product and interior designer at the design company Moooi and Casper Vissers stepped down as Moooi CEO in 2015. Moooi is headquartered in Breda in the Netherlands, and the Moooi warehouse is located in the same province North Brabant. Moooi's flagship showroom and brand store, opened in 2008, and is located in Amsterdam in Holland. These Moooi Extinct Animals playing cards by theory11 have 56 poker size playing cards made from cardstock in the USPC playing card factory in the United States and come with 2 Jokers + 2 Moooi playing cards. Made with premium FSC-certified paper derived from sustainable forests, using vegetable based inks and starch based laminates - resulting in unparalleled levels of quality and detail. These are simply extraordinary pieces of functional art for all playing card lovers.

The back of each card features stunning, luxurious gold foil that breathes new life to each extinct animal featured within, alongside fully custom artwork adorning the court cards, aces, and jokers that burst with colour and detail! The tuck box features their signature Menagerie of Extinct Animal motif, premium gold foil, and tasteful embossing.
