The backs of this van Gogh double deck together form the painting The Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh, painted in August 1888 in Arles in France. This van Gogh double game comes in a gold colored cardboard playing card box. This Piatnik playing card box contains the image of the painting The Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh.

About the painter Vincent van Gogh
The Dutchman Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) was one of the great painters of the 19th century. Vincent van Gogh was born in the municipality of Zundert in North Brabant in the Netherlands. Van Gogh is known for his beautiful self-portraits, landscapes and of course his still lifes.

Van Gogh's Sunflowers have become the symbol of Vincent van Gogh's paintings. Van Gogh's Sunflowers are one of his most famous paintings. The Sunflowers is a painting from a series of still lifes made by Vincent van Gogh in 1888. The series of Sunflowers paintings were actually intended as a decoration of Van Gogh's guest room for his close friend and fellow artist Paul Gauguin. Van Gogh eventually made three paintings with 15 sunflowers in a vase and two paintings with only twelve flowers. Van Gogh first painted the vase with the 12 sunflowers that he painted in August 1888 in Arles in France. Today you can admire this beautiful canvas by Vincent van Gogh in the Neue Pinakothek Museum in Munich in Germany.
